With one button. We test your site’s homepage.

Google loads the page
On mobile and desktop at once. It takes about a minute.

You know what to speed up
You’ll see the scores, visitor data and what slows your site down the most.
What slows your site down, sorted by time saved
Right after the test you’ll see the items where Google calculated a time saving, largest first. Each one comes with an estimate and instructions on what to do.
- The savings estimate and the “what to do” instructions come word for word from Google.
- When Google names specific files, you’ll see them with the item.
Sorted by the time you could save. The numbers are Google’s estimates from the test, not a measured difference.
Reduce unused JavaScript and defer loading scripts until they are required to decrease bytes consumed by network activity.
How fast your site is for real visitors
The test is a single load on a simulated phone. Google adds the speed people actually got on your site in Chrome over the last 28 days.
- How long until someone sees the main part of the page.
- How quickly the page responds to a tap and whether the content jumps around while it loads.
- Smaller sites may not have this data. Until they do, go by the test.
Google collects speed data from real Chrome visitors. All three metrics already have enough data.
Four scores from Google, for mobile and desktop
The test measures both devices at once. Use the switch to see the result for the other one.
- Google judges sites mainly by their mobile version, so we start with mobile.
- A good result starts at 90 points.
- Each score comes with a short explanation of what it means.
Whether the page has what Google needs to understand and index it: a title, a description, readable links and access allowed for crawlers. A high score doesn’t mean you’ll rank first, just that the basics aren’t missing.
History shows whether your site got faster
Every test is saved. You see mobile and desktop scores side by side, and each result shows the change since the previous test.
- We don’t comment on differences of up to 3 points, because scores normally vary between tests.
- The bell in the app tells you when a test is done.
- The latest mobile test can be part of your regular email report.
| When | Mobile | Desktop | Page | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 14, 2026 9:12 AM | 62 | 91 | kaferio.cz/ | shown |

The score can vary by a few points between runs even when nothing changes on your website. That’s why we don’t comment on differences of up to 3 points.
How we measure it
- Google PageSpeed Insights runs the test. Custela lays out the result clearly and saves it to your history.
- We test mobile and desktop at once. If one device doesn’t finish, the screen says so and doesn’t fill anything in.
- Google provides visitor speed from Chrome data for the last 28 days.
- The savings estimates and “what to do” instructions come from Google. We don’t add up the savings because they overlap.
What this feature can’t do
- It only tests your homepage. You can’t enter a different address.
- It doesn’t run on its own, and you can’t schedule regular tests.
- The list of what slows your site down only appears right after you run a test from the Website speed screen. Scores, visitor data and history stay available afterward.
- For sites with little traffic, Google doesn’t publish visitor data.
- It’s unrelated to the AI score. It measures speed, not visibility in AI.
- It won’t speed up your site for you. Whoever manages your site makes the changes.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the speed test cost?
The test uses no credits. You get it on every plan and during the 7-day free trial, card required. Plans start at 990 Kč/month excl. VAT.
Is it the same test as Google’s PageSpeed Insights?
Yes, the test runs directly in Google PageSpeed Insights. Custela adds history, a comparison with the previous test and explanations. The score can differ by a few points between two tests even if nothing on your site changed.
Why don’t the test and the visitor data match?
The test is a single load on a simulated device. Visitor data covers the last 28 days from people who came to your site in Chrome, and it changes slowly.
Can I test a page other than the homepage?
No. The test always runs on your site’s homepage.
How do I start the test?
With the button on the Website speed screen. You can also start it from the Run measurement window, or ask the assistant to “Run a speed test.” The list of what slows your site down only shows after a test started from that screen, though. The test never runs on its own.
Will I get the results by email?
The latest mobile test can be a section of your regular report. Learn more in Email reports and alerts.
